I have played around with the equipment profile settings in brewfather but cannot seem to get a situation where the app still recommends the correct mash and sparge for my equipment, but understands my desired batch size is larger than the equipment and correctly calculates IBU based on the total diluted batch size rather than whats in the kettle. (4.4KG joe whit trad ale, 500gm dextrose) This diluted 29L batch has 22.3 IBU from 18gm of 13.9%AA Superpride hops. ![]() In my case I get around 26L from grainfather, and top up with another 3L in fermenter. This modifies the IBU calc so I know how much extra hop to use to get my desired IBU in the diluted batch. ![]() In Beersmith I can add a fermenter topup value, say 3L, to my equipment profile. I use a grainfather and make concentrated batches that are watered down with top up water in fermenter. Very interested in this app, love the interface.
